| Unity |
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious Most Mercy
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh….
Dear Muslim Sisters,
We Thank Allah for making us Muslims and for bestowing on us the treasure of Islam for if we do not have Islam, we have nothing. It is out of His divine mercy that He has given us the blessing of belief in Him otherwise this blessing was not granted to Ibrahim’s as father even though prayed for it, it was not given to Noh’s (as) son even though Noh prayed for it and it was not given to the Prophet’s (s.a.w) uncle even though the Prophet prayed for it. Shall we not be thankful to Allah then?
O Muslim Sisters, you are the daughters of this Ummah, the Ummah of Muhammad s.a.w. There are certain responsibilities upon you as Muslims. Allah s.w.t says:
“O you who believe! Be helpers of Allah.” (62:4)
The Ummah is going through difficult times. We Muslims are being demonized and targeted of the world over. The battle is being waged intellectually and you can participate in this battle by being helpers of Allah. You can be helpers of Allah by dispelling misconceptions which people have about Islam oppressing women. You can be helpers of Allah by being an exemplary model of piety and chastity for others. You can be helpers of Allah by showing to the world that you are proud of your religion and you are proud to wear Hijab. And Allah-willing you can earn paradise through joining this battle.
All of this are possible but there is one essential element required which is missing in all the Muslims world over: Unity. O Muslims sisters, the Ummah has suffered enough because of disunity. Let us take the first step towards achieving unity as Allah s.w.t says:
“And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah’s favor on you” (3:103)
I urge you to start knowing about other Muslim sisters. Make friends with them for the sake of Allah and encourage each other to learn more about Islam and enjoin good and forbid evil. It is not an easy task but a journey of thousand miles begins with in one step. |
